A brasileira Juliana Aquino, começou como voz de suporte de diversas bandas vindas da Baía, tais como Banda Eva, Pimanta Nativa, Banda Beijo, entre outras. Em 1994 mudou-se para para Nova Iorque, onde começou uma carreira a solo e onde também ganhou reconhecimento. Nos finais de 2006 lançou o álbum Disco (meets) bossa. A clássicos do disco sound, Juliana dá-lhe uma roupagem de bossa nova, jazz e lounge. Um disco que não traz nada de novo, mas é muito bom para relaxar.
