"Hafdís Huld’s second solo album, ‘Synchronised Swimmers’, was released on the Sena label in Iceland at the end of 2009 where it reached number 2 in the album charts. The first three singles taken from the album all reached the Top 5 in the Icelandic singles charts. Hafdís is planning to license the album to independent labels in other territories for release in Spring 2010. Plans are already in place for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. Says Hafdís: “MIDEM will give me a perfect opportunity to meet face to face with labels from other countries and I’m really looking forward to finding lots more great people to work with.”

Despite spending much of 2009 making her album, Hafdís had time to complete successful tours in the UK, Germany and Switzerland and perform at several European festivals where her lively shows and eclectic brand of quirky pop won her many new fans and brought her to the attention of record labels and radio DJs. Her appearance at Midem Talent will undoubtedly increase that attention and it looks like 2010 is already shaping up to be a big year for this engaging artist."
